China Black Hole - One of China's leading scientists confirmed that the nation is searching for extraterrestrial life in September, according to the state-run Science and Technology Daily.

Zhang Tongjie, the chief scientist of the project, an astronomer from Beijing Normal University, said that there are some "exciting" signs that could prove the presence of extraterrestrial life. Typically, such radio signals come from pulsars or fast-moving galaxies.

Zhang added that the search for aliens does not interfere with the general scientific discoveries that the team is currently investigating.

The Chinese team will reveal the capabilities of the next generation of the world's only wide-angle radio telescope - the Five Hundred Meter Aperture Spherical Telescope (FAST) - which is currently dedicated to the search for other objects and habitable alien planets.

Based in Guizhou, China, FAST has the equipment to observe two parts of the sky covered by the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico, the first record holder for the world's largest single aperture radio telescope.

FAST, which first went live in January, can take readings between three and five times faster than those from the Arecibo Observatory. It is this unprecedented level of technology that many scientists are excited about in the hope of a breakthrough in the search for extraterrestrial life in the universe.

The sheer size of the tower means it can detect radio waves from many sources around the world. They include the pulses of dying stars - known as pulsars - and hydrogen in distant galaxies.

The telescope will explore a new frontier in radio astronomy - using radio waves to identify exoplanets that support extraterrestrial life. During the test, FAST was able to detect more than 100 pulsars.

In addition to the search for alien life, the telescope also collects important data for the study of black holes in distant galaxies.

Construction of the FAST telescope, first proposed by the Chinese government in 1994, began in 2011 and was completed in 2016, at a cost of $269 million. It is 500 meters in diameter, although it only focuses on a 300 meter section of the receiver at a time.

The Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (HXMT), developed by Chinese scientists, will observe black holes and neutron stars.

"Black holes are the focus of our attention because they are very interesting, and can produce various types of radiation, including X-rays and high-energy cosmic rays, and jet energy," said Zhang Shuangnan, HXMT's scientific leader and director. from the Key Laboratory of Particle Astrophysics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).

Scientists are interested in how black holes work. There are about 20 black holes found in our galaxy. "We hope our telescope will be able to detect more black holes. We hope to take a better look at the black holes that have already been discovered," Zhang said.

A black hole is a region of space that exerts such strong gravitational effects that nothing - not even particles or electromagnetic radiation such as light - can escape from it.

There are two types of these "space money": black holes of stellar mass and supermassive black holes. Supermassive black holes are thought to occur when massive stars collapse at the end of their lives.

After a black hole is formed, it can continue to grow by removing mass from its surroundings. Some scientists believe that by entering gas into other stars and merging with other black holes, supermassive black holes of millions of solar masses can be created. It is widely believed that supermassive black holes exist at the centers of most galaxies.

Black holes are the key to understanding the origin of time and space and the ultimate fate of the universe, scientists say.

"If the black hole has no activity, it cannot be found. But when the object falls into the black hole, it is accelerated and heated during the activity, producing X-rays. Scientists can understand the characteristics of black holes through X-rays. Zhang said.

Sometimes the black hole is calm, but sometimes it is a "terrible storm". When a black hole becomes "angry," it emits intense X-ray or gamma rays or jet streams, he said.

Other countries have sent about a hundred X-ray satellites into orbit, but most are suitable for observing quiescent black holes. HXMT is ideal for observing angry black holes and neutron stars, Zhang explains.

"We will look at the galaxy to look for the 'black holes' of black holes. "We hope to do a detailed survey of black holes and neutron stars in the galaxy."

Xiong Shaolin, a junior scientist at the Institute of High Energy Physics of CAS, said that the research will strengthen the development of astronomy. "We hope to take X-ray images of black holes in the near future."
